Human Resource Lessons from Cinema

Join us in December for a lighter presentation of some serious issues and the chance to meet and greet our state and national SHRM representatives.

Trina McSorley will lead the discussion of current human resource issues through the entertaining use of film clips.  Covered will be topics like age discrimination, sexual harassment, diversity and inclusion, and terminations.

Heathcare Consumerism, Healthcare Technology & Financial Wellness 

This presentation will discuss healthcare consumerism and how it can put the economic purchasing power and decision-making into the hands of plan participants.  The goal is to enable patients to become wholly involved in their healthcare decisions.   

We will also discuss new and emerging technologies for healthcare and wellness and the impact of financial wellness to employers and employees.  

Immigration & Workplace Compliance

Join Alka Bahal, partner and co-chair of Fox Rothschild’s Immigration practice, and members of the firm’s Labor & Employment department, for an overview of immigration and workplace compliance, Form I-9 and government inspections. During this presentation, she will also discuss how companies should deal with the resurrected Social Security Administration’s No-Match Letters.

We will meet at Stockton University Atlantic City Campus Academic Building on Friday, May 17, 2019 from 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm. We will enjoy dinner and a tour of the new campus by the ocean.

NJ Paid Family Leave and Proposed Changes to FLSA

The seminar will discuss developments of the New Jersey Paid Family Leave act during the last year. The seminar will include a review of the published regulations and discuss recommendations and challenges concerning implementation of the act.
