    Executive Panel Discussion

    The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly. What the C-suite expects from Human Resources

    We look forward to seeing you at our May dinner meeting to share Human Resource practices, stories and challenges before we break for the summer recess.   

    Program Synopsis: 

    Now more than ever, Business Executives and HR Leaders need effective communication to give and receive feedback. During this facilitated panel discussion, the Executive Leaders on the panel will share their Human Resource experiences and answer your questions.  

    This program will cover: 

    - Thought provoking give and take between HR partners and executives

    - Effective working relationships with HR partners

    - Skills HR managers need to gain Business/HR executive roles

    - HR experiences and expectations - aha moments!

    Panelists

    Jim Tierney is the Vice President of Finance at Hard Rock Hotel Casino Atlantic City.  Jim has over 30 years of experience in finance and analytics.  He has held various managerial positions at Borgata, Caesars and the Claridge Casinos.  Prior to his gaming career, Jim was a CPA with the Accounting firm of Ernst and Young where he was a member of the first Philadelphia office gaming group which audited Resorts International following the sale of the property from Donald Trump to Merv Griffin.  Tierney is a graduate of Drexel University with a BS in Accounting/Finance.

    Joseph C. Pantalone is Vice President of the Atlantic County Utilities Authority (ACUA) Wastewater Division where he oversees the 40 million gallon-per-day wastewater treatment plant in Atlantic City, NJ, and regional collection system, which is operated by 80 staff members and serves approximately 225,000 residents of Atlantic County.  Since joining ACUA in 2013, Pantalone has concentrated his leadership efforts on the improvement and sustainability of the wastewater treatment plant, collection system and its employees. Pantalone continues to focus on succession planning for many key figures in the ACUA organization while fostering a collaborative and productive team to address the ever-changing regulatory climate. 
     
    Pantalone previously served as the Public Engineering Department Head/Human Resources Director for more than 20 years at Adams, Rehmann and Heggan (ARH) Associates, a civil engineering and planning firm serving both municipal and county governments in Hammonton, NJ. In this position, Pantalone was involved in numerous water and wastewater projects throughout South Jersey totaling more than $145 million dollars in infrastructure improvements.

    Pantalone is a graduate of James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology/Sociology and a Master of Arts in Personnel Administration.
