Heathcare Consumerism, Healthcare Technology & Financial Wellness
This presentation will discuss healthcare consumerism and how it can put the economic purchasing power and decision-making into the hands of plan participants. The goal is to enable patients to become wholly involved in their healthcare decisions.
We will also discuss new and emerging technologies for healthcare and wellness and the impact of financial wellness to employers and employees.
In addition, we will cover practical steps employers can adopt to ensure their employees are properly educated to embrace these trends.

Presenter: Bob Elmer Vice President/Senior Benefits Consultant, Corporate Synergies
Bob Elmer is an accomplished Senior Benefits Consultant and Vice President with more than 20 years of experience in the industry. He is responsible for new business development activities for Corporate Synergies’ Pennsylvania/New Jersey region and has oversight of clients with 300 to 5,000 employees.
He plays an active, ongoing consulting role with key clients. His expertise includes strategic program design, financial evaluation, labor negotiations, underwriting, data analysis, health and wellness program design, regulatory compliance, the Affordable Care Act and employee education and communications. He has a continuing presence on accounts as a relationship manager.
He began his insurance industry career in 1996 as a Benefits Consultant with Corporate Dynamics, working with the senior partners who eventually founded Corporate Synergies. Previously, he worked in Finance for Toyota.
Bob holds a Life and Health License in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
