    Effectively Managing Employees Through Difficult Life Events

    An analysis and guide to managing employees who are experiencing significant life events, including divorce and parenting issues with special attention to disciplinary and attendance issues with such employees. An overview of the basics of divorce and custody in New Jersey and how typical human resource issues like family leave and the NJ SAFE act come into play will be discussed.

    Presenters:             

    Alexandra Rigden, Esq.  - Cooper Levenson Law Offices

    An associate in the Cherry Hill office, Alexandra dedicates her practice exclusively to family law matters including litigation, mediation and arbitration of family law matters; divorce actions, including complex and high conflict matters; custody and parenting time, etc.

    Alexandra is an Associate Editor of the New Jersey Family Lawyer, the official publication of the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Family Law Section. Alexandra received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish from Rutgers University and her Juris Doctor from the Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law at Barry University, where she was an active member of its Moot Court team and nationally-recognized Trial Team. She is admitted to practice law in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.

    Amy Rudley, Esq.  - Cooper Levenson Law Offices

    Working in the firm's Atlantic City office, partner Amy E. Rudley focuses on the areas of employment law, hospitality & casino law, and defense litigation including civil rights litigation and premises liability. She handles everything from inception of litigation and discovery to trial and post trial motions. Additionally, Amy guides clients through the drafting of handbooks and day-to-day employment practices and decisions. Amy also conducts employment seminars, sessions and trainings, as well as investigations in to workplace allegations of discrimination, retaliation, and harassment. Amy further prepares employment contracts and agreements for her clients.

    A graduate of the University of Delaware and Rutgers University School of Law – Camden, she is admitted to the bar in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
