What the New FLSA Overtime Rule Means for You

New changes to the FLSA go into effect December 1, 2016 – be sure you’re ready!  Eileen Muskett addressed our chapter back in January and reviewed proposed FLSA changes.  Join us this month as she updates us now that the regulations have been finalized.  The presentation will include a detailed description of the FLSA regulation changes, how these regulations will affect your company and recommended actions to comply with new regulations.

Presenter: Eileen Oakes Muskett, Esq., Partner, Fox Rothschild

Eileen has an extensive litigation practice that encompasses mass tort, products liability, pharmaceutical and employment litigation. She frequently represents clients in both New Jersey Superior Courts and the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey and possesses substantial knowledge of the local legal landscape in New Jersey. Eileen often serves as a key trial team member in major pharmaceutical litigation matters, providing essential insight on handling cases in the New Jersey court system and helping to bring significant matters to successful resolution. She has been involved in representing some of the world's largest pharmaceutical companies in mass tort litigation involving blockbuster drugs for osteoporosis (Fosamax®) and hair loss (Propecia®).

Eileen is also well-versed in handling labor and employment law matters. She represents clients at the administrative level as well as in the New Jersey Division on Civil Rights, the EEOC and state and  federal  courts  in  cases  involving  wrongful  discharge,  unemployment  appeals,  breach  of contract, illegal harassment as well as retaliation and discrimination claims, including appearance- based discrimination. Eileen also assists clients in a preventative capacity, such as performing in- house training on anti-harassment issues, supervisory skills, family leave and how to implement discipline to employees. She also reviews company policies and employee handbooks and has assisted employers in reductions in force.

Prior to joining Fox Rothschild, Eileen was chair of the Mass Tort – Products Liability and Pharmaceutical Litigation practice and a partner in the Casino Litigation and Employment Practice groups at Cooper Levenson. Eileen is a former law clerk for the Honorable Carol E. Higbee in Atlantic County Superior Court.

Eileen is a member of the Atlantic County Bar Association, the New Jersey State Bar Association, the Federation of Defense & Corporate Counsel and the New Jersey Attorney Ethics Committee (2005-2009). Eileen is a graduate of Stockton University and the Widener University School of Law.
